Copy/store current clipboard item in the background

You can copy & store current clipboard item at anytime, anywhere in the background. You can store up to 50 items per folder.

Limitations and Restrictions

  • The maximum background time in iOS 8 is 3 minutes. To continue copying in the background, you must re-open CopyCenter app.
  • You can store the copied item anytime using our widget even if the app is not running.

Manipulate text

You can manipulate text. For example, you can split a copied sentence and store each splitted word.
To manipulate text, tap and hold (long tap) copied item you want to manipulate to show menu.

  • Split
  • Split/divide the text into words.
  • Split with return/linebreak (Split↲)
  • Split the text at the position that contains line breaks.
  • Extract data
  • Extract the data, such as an email address or URL from the text. Supported data types are as follows:
  • phone number
  • email address
  • URL
  • address
  • date & time

Organize your copied items

You can merge copied items into one, or delete items. To do so, tap Manage button (The ‘Wrench’ icon). You can also reorder items in saved folders.

  • Merge
  • Merge selected items into a single item.
  • Tips: You can merge these by selected order.
  • Merge with return/linebreak (Merge↲)
  • Merge selected items into a single item with linebreaks.
  • Tips: You can merge these by selected order.
  • Move
  • Move items into a selected folder.
  • Delete
  • Delete selected items.

Automatic filters

You can apply automatic text filters like ‘remove empty lines’ and/or ’remove extra spaces’.

  • Automatic data detection
  • Target: URLs, email addresses and phone numbers
  • Remove empty lines
  • Remove all empty lines within copied text.
  • Remove extra spaces
  • Remove leading/trailing/extra/all whitespaces from copied text.

Clear the clipboard

You can easily clear the current clipboard to remove sensitive information.
To clear the clipboard, just tap the ‘Trash’ icon top right on the main screen.
Note: You can clear the clipboard using widget, too.

Edit text

You can edit stored items in CopyCenter’s edit screen.

How to edit text

  1. Swipe the text you want to edit to the left
  2. Tap the ‘Edit’ button

Tips: You can also set the title in the edit screen.

Custom actions

You can use customizable actions e.g. Search Google with your copied item with ease. To use these actions, go to Settings in the app and turn on Custom actions.

How to use Custom actions

  1. Swipe the text you want to edit to the left
  2. Tap the ‘More’ button

Default actions are as follows:

  • Email
  • Note: You must set an appropriate email address before using this action
  • Search Google
  • Search Google Maps
  • Post to Twitter
  • Note: You must have the official Twitter app
  • Search Yelp
  • Search App Store

Widget

How to use the widget

To use our Today widget, you’ll need to activate it.

How to use the widget

  1. Swipe down from the top of your screen to display Notification Center
  2. Select the Today tab
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Today panel and tap ‘Edit
  4. Find the CopyCenter widget and tap the green circle ‘+’ sign
  5. Tap ‘Done’ button top right on Today panel

Expand/collapse content

You can toggle between a Compact and Full view.
To change the view size, tap Toggle button (The ‘’ or ’’ icon).

You can store the current clipboard item at anytime, anywhere using our widget.

How to store your clippings

  1. Copy text you want to store in any app
  2. Swipe down from the top of your screen

  • To store multiple copies, you must swipe down and display the widget each time you copy.

Copy items back to the clipboard using widget

You can copy items back to the clipboard using the widget.
To do so, just tap a desired item and you are done.

Switch folders

Tap the segmented control top on the widget to switch folders.

Clear the clipboard

Custom keyboard

How to use the custom keyboard

Use the CopyCenter keyboard to paste/input copied items in any app.

How to use custom keyboard

  1. Go to your iOS Settings
  2. Next, go to General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard…
  3. Under THIRD-PARTY KEYBOARDS, select ‘CopyCenter
  4. Tap ‘CopyCenter - CopyCenter
  5. Tap ‘Allow Full Access’ and turn the toggle switch on
  6. When the dialog opens, tap ‘Allow

Our keyboard requires Full Access in order to share data with the CopyCenter app. This is mainly because we store your text clippings in CopyCenter app, and need to obtain your permission in order for the keyboard to be able to access these clippings.

Limitations and Restrictions

  • You must ‘Allow Full Access’ in order to share data with the CopyCenter app. If you don’t allow full access, you cannot use our keyboard.

Input/paste copied items using custom keyboard

To use CopyCenter keyboard, tap the ‘Globe’ icon on the keyboard until CopyCenter keyboard appears when entering text.

Split text

You can split text when you using the custom keyboard. To split text, tap and hold (long tap) an item you want to split.

Limitations and Restrictions

  • The number of splitted words will be limited to up to 50 words at a time. This is a result of considering the memory limits for using custom keyboard. If you want to complete this process, please run the same operation within the app.

Switch folders

Tap the segmented control top on the keyboard to switch folders.

Data management

Backup your data

You can backup your data in app’s Settings at anytime. You can also send backup files via email and restore from a backup file. To backup, send backup files, or restore backup, go to Settings > Backups in the CopyCenter app.

How to backup your data

  1. Tap the ‘+’ button top right on the Backups screen and you are done

How to send backup files via email

  1. Tap to select a backup file you want to send
  2. Select ‘Send using email
  3. Send an email with the backup file attachment to your desired address

Export/import a backup file to/from your PC or Mac

Using iTunes for Windows/Mac 9.1 or later, you can export/import backup files to/from your computer.
